The club was founded in 2009 and joined the Legal League in the 2017/18 season as Mandarin Boys Football Club (MBFC). Rebranded to Dong Feng Express since August 2019.

Most members are of mainland China background, we often refer ourselves as Gang Piao, the Hong Kong Drifters.
