Division One Match reports

Tropics 1 Corinthians 2

Cors started the game brighter but we worked our way into the game and took the lead with a dipping strike from outside of the box.

However, we have a way a soft goal on the stroke of half time and despite having the better possession in the second half we conceded a breakaway goal looking for a handball or offside call that never came.

Overall, we didn’t do enough in the final third to get the result. Well played Cors.

Ref: 3/5

Joey Richardson, Max Brackenbury

Good win for us against a decent team. Tropics took the lead from a class strike from 25 yards before we rallied and got an equalizer just before half time.

Second half was fairly even but we broke and a composed finish sealed the result

Cheers Tropics

Ref 4/5

Tropics scorer: Karandeep Singh

Wanchai Spartans 2 JLeaguers 1.

W Spartans dominated the first half with simple passes and high balls effectively. Conceded a goal by excellent dribble of their midfielder. We had an equaliser early in the second half by short passes in the middle but conceded one more soon after. The result fairly represents the game.

Good game W Spartans.

Scorer: Kenya Azuchi

Ref: 4/5 overall consistent decisions through the match

Spartans scorers: Jeremiah Shonde, Jack Ogden.

Always a tough game against JLeaguers. Well played lads. Ref 4/5

Stray Dogs 0 vs Krauts 1

Match in Aberdeen results in a fortunate win for Krauts. Props to Stray Dogs for putting up the fight. Good luck for the rest of the season!

Scorer: Ben Chisem

Ref: 4/5 overall fine

Two teams fighting for points. Congratulations to the Krauts for the victory!

Game 5/5 both respectful teams and good sportsmanship.

Ref 1/5 - We want to put in a complaint on the referees.

They specifically asked to start the game ten mins early so the game could end earlier. They also called off each half five minutes early. A few of our players were timing the halves and confirmed this.

We also had three potential goals (two that actually went in) that the refs called as offsides. These were bad offside calls less than 2 meters in front of Krauts goal line. The linesmen (on the attacking side) really switched off the second half.

Not expecting a different outcome, just want to put this report in and have teams be aware.

KCC Cavaliers 2-2 Wanchai Wolves

We put pressure early on and after making Wolves look uncomfortable found a goal from a back pass error. However after the halftime Wolves found their rhythm and scored 2 goals while controlling back the game. Another last min equaliser from Cavs managed to nick off one point. Draw was a fair result for an evenly matched game.

Cheers Wolves and see you in the second leg

Ref: 3/5 no comment

Goalscorers: Rai Aryan, George Yang

Wolves went 1-0 down in the first half, but recovered to lead 2-1.  KCC equalised at the death with only seconds to go.

The game was competitive and played in good spirits.

Thanks for the game KCC and good luck for the rest of the season!

Ref 3/5 Generally fine

Scorers for Wolves: Daniel Derani and Adam Boulanger

Division Two Match reports

Legal Head v KCC Royals 1-0

LH 1-0 KCC Royals. A tight games with LH scoring in the last few minutes. A “grown up” score line which is unusual for the Royals. Well played LH. Ref 4/5

Legal Head Scorer: Areeb Nadeem

Ref 3/5

Sam blue 0-2 Bants

Sam blue players was unlucky to get the three points even they dominate big part of the game.

Refs couldn’t manage the game, give more than five min for water break.

Second goal the ball didn’t fully cross the line

Refs 0/5

Scorers: Karlo Schleiter, Robin Jordan

A hot day and a competitive game played in good spirits. We scored the opener when Karlo intercepted a pass from their defender. Huffed and puffed a bit in the second half until Robin rounded their keeper.

Referees: 2/5 Just difficult to understand most of the decisions. Let a lot of stuff go both ways.

Shooters 1 - 6 Revolution

Shooters scorer: Takayuki Ono

Shooters scored with a goal after 2 mins.

Revolution had great intensity into the game, creating multiple opportunities and got back with quick goal, then we gave them an unlucky PK.

2-1 half time.

2nd half, we gave again unlucky PK. Then, Revolution added 3 goals on middle shots. shooters couldn’t catch up this match.

Well played Revolution and hope to make match with you again.

Ref. 2/5

Managed the match overall but some foul calls are suspicious. Especially the two PK judgments are unclear.

Shooters scored with a well worked goal after 2 mins and then we started to play. We hit back with two quick goals - Chris Marshall with the first and Andy Saxton from the penalty spot. 2-1 half time. We won another pen around 10 mins into the second half with Andy Saxton getting his second from the spot before Chris Field scored our fourth as his firm shot went under the keeper and into the next. Simon Liu added a 5th, before Chris Tang scored the best of the day from 20 odd yards in off the right post. Ref was a 4/5 - couple of odd calls, but a couple of time rectified his mistakes. Shooters as usual played in great spirit - look forward to the return match.

San Ps 5-2 OSM

Scorers: Myles Galvin 2, Simon Roberts 1, Dudson Yip 1, Moe Elbeltagi 1

Ref 4/5 - generally good but missed a stonewall penalty for OSM

Good competitive game with the score line not really reflecting the game. San Ps started really strongly, racing into a 3-0 lead but it was much more even after that.

Well played OSM and thanks for the game.

OSM were struggling in the lead up to this fixture with 6-8 regulars unavailable (with half Covid-qurantined), including 2 GKs...this required a makeshift replacement from our outfield ranks to masquerade as a keeper!  Unfortunately, we started poorly and sloppily and didn't recover during the course of the match.  Firstly, a firmly struck shot across goal went under the keeper, then a close range poked finish made it 2-0.  Within 15mins, it was 3-0 when misplaced passes in the defence left the San Ps forward just inside the box who hit it firm and low off the post and into the net.  Minutes before halftime, a mix up in the box left a San Ps striker alone just yards out who prodded it in for 4.  We had been well off it and the momentum of the half had been hard for us to counter; we'd had moments, including some good work from winger Moaz Razi and an overhead kick attempt from Matt Bowman that went barely a yard wide, but overall it wasn't good enough from us.

We came out with an intention to restore some pride and that confidence looked wafer-thin within seconds of the restart as another low and firm shot from the edge of the box went into the bottom corner.  From that point on, we were able to gather some momentum and looked like scoring goals (although surely San Ps had calmed down with a 5-0 lead!).  Firstly, following a series of pressure corners, the ball was put into the net by a San Ps defender following a scramble.  A bit later, Razi found himself inside the box and chopped 2-3 times before finishing.  We had 2-3 more chances, including a well-saved header from Razi and another header put over from 5 yards out by our striker.  While those chances may have made the finish more interesting if they were converted, San Ps got a well-deserved victory by the fulltime whistle.

Well played San Ps, you were on it from the start and see you later in the season.

Scorers: OG and Moaz Razi.

Sampdoria HK-Barbarians 7-3

Sampdoria goals (Vastola, Vastola, Tosi, Tosi, Lucchini, Lucchini, own goal). Ref. 4/5

Barbs goals Gabriel Ceresole, Gaspard Charreyre, John Cove Refs : 1/5

Division Three Match reports

Laguna City Football Club 3-0 Comrade

Laguna emerged victorious on this hot Saturday afternoon with a dominant performance throughout the game. We were able to take an early lead after 5 minutes and although Comrade were able to fight back with a few strong chances including one off the post, Laguna managed to hold on! Overall, an intense battle played in great spirit between both teams.

Thanks Comrade for a challenging, eventful game and best of luck for the rest of the season!

Scorers for LCFC: Brayden Lisboa, Hiren Khare, Rigraj Mohan

Ref: 1/5, quite a few incorrect decisions throughout the game. Moreover, there was a clear red card challenge for taking out the last man which wasn’t given as well as a few handballs in the box. Overall, we felt there were inconsistencies upon decision-making between the two teams which seemed unfair.

AS Dragon 2 - 0 BOC

Scorers: Max Remington, Brad du Plooy

Decent game earlier. BOCs actually started with 10 men (a routine Dragons know only too well of late) whilst they waited for a couple guys to arrive. Pretty open game with both sides having their chances. Fortunately for us we managed to nick a goal later in first half. But BOCs had plenty of chances themselves and it was quite even. We managed to grab a second goal in second half which was sorely needed as BOCs kept coming at us looking for an equalizer. BOCs even had chance to grab a goal late on (if wasn’t for a ridiculous triple save from our keeper) and if they had of got that goal it would of been a very interesting last 5-10 mins. Well played BOCs, always a pleasure and you guys played well today, on another day it could have easily been a different result. Best of luck for the rest of your season.

Ref 4/5

Seem to be on a roll with refs just recently. There was one or two questionable offside calls, but for both teams. Other than that, wasn’t a great deal for him to do.

Waterloo 0 – 3 HK Vikings

Goals: Niklas Risberg, Kenneth Bek, Philip Heinze

Very even game in the first half with Vikings taking lead just before half time. Second half Vikings had more possesion and adavantage. Good fight and spirit from both teams in hot weather conditions. Waterloo’s captain got injured in the first half, all the best to him and a speedy recovery to him. Wish Waterloo all the best for the rest of the season and the upcoming games.

Refs: 4/5. Had a few bad decisions but overall, a decent game. Very good in his communication.

Warriors started the 1st half with few shots on target. 1st half was mostly even between the two teams until one of our key players got injured close to the end of the first half (an ambulance was called after the match ended for the injured player). HK Vikings scored their 1st goal right after the injury when Warriors were reshuffling people to cover for the injured player.

Second half: Vikings were the better team. Warriors committed a number of defensive errors which lead to 2 more goals for Vikings.

All the best to Vikings for the rest of the season!

Refs: 4/5. Couple of handballs not called but overall fair ref and handled the game well.

Newteam FC 4 - 2 V United:

We managed to start well and press high and scored a goal from penalty kick but V united fight back and scored following a rebound after a corner. Then we pushed and scored a second goal from a corner but again good pressure from V united and they managed to score on a penalty.

Second half we pushed and managed to score the third goal thanks to a fantastic run from our striker and we finished to score a 4th on a penalty kick. Good fight from V united the game was not an easy win. Unfortunately, bad news because one of our player finishing at hospital after falling on his shoulder ending with a broken clavicle.

Thanks for the game and good luck for the rest of the season.

Ref 1/5

A lot of wrong decision especially from the line man, one of this game were you can say better without ref.

Scorers : David Tovar 2, Jonathan Edwards 1, Arthur Roiret 1

The game started out even with high intensity but a penalty given to Newteam FC was converted. V United changed the dynamics of the game to equalize from open play. Newteam FC once again capitalized their opportunity with yet another set-piece - this time a corner. V United once again equalized from a penalty with the score closing 2-2 in the first half.

From the game getting a little clumsy, V United had subbed off 2 players due to an injury. The change of game plan and the frustration led to a goal from a defensive error. Just when V United was testing Newteam FC’s defense and the goalkeeper, an unjustifiable penalty from the referee gave Newteam FC the final goal to seal it all off.

Newteam FC proved to be solid, well played and wish you luck for the season. Also, V United wishes well for a speedy and complete recovery to the Newteam FC player who had to be hospitalized afterwards.

Referee: 1/5

Awful decisions from both the head referee and his linesmen from the debatable penalty to multiple erroneous offsides to both the teams.

Scorers:

WAVOO SEYED ABDURRAHMAN, Fareed

MOHAMED FAROOK, Fuzail Ahmad
